Been a long time since I updated my journal on here (again lol). Just wanted to let you know that I am trying to put together my first art book entitled "Daughters of Darkness". It will be a collection of pin-up style paintings that have an evil/dark side.

lol i really suck at updating my journals on here dont i hehe.
Sorry, to say im a busy guy would be a massive understatment. So whats been going on in the Sveeart camp? well, ive been doing a lot of digital work doing posters, logos, website gfx, all sorts. Done a few guitars for various people and i now have some of my artwork on a rage of guitar picks and i am about to start on some awesome projects with the one and only Eddie Kramer (legandary producer of the Beetles, Rolling Stones and Hendrix to name a few).

Im also off to Namm in LA in January 2010 which will be awesome. After the show im off to LAFX to spend a few days with Eddie Kramer in the studio to chat about a very special guitar project.

Anyway, time waits for no man so i must press on.

Blimey, i havent updated my journal since last may!
Well a lot has happened to me since then. The biggest thing being i was made redundant just after christmas from my regular day job where i built and repaired pc's. So for the moment my art is supporting my family. Its a very scary time indeed.

So far so good though, i have made enough from my comissions to pay the bills and keep the kids fed so fingers crossed that things will continue this well. It woudl be great if i could make a go of it as a freelance artist as it has always been a dream job for me but ive never had the balls to walk away from the steady secured pay check every month and give it a go. Mainly because i would hate my family to suffer because of a bad decision on my part. So i am now hunting for a job like crazy and in the mean time praying my art will keep us afloat.

A few short months ago i had the pleasure of doing a guitar for Andrew Guyton who is one of Brian May's (Queen) guitar guys. He needed the "We Will Rock You" logo airbrushed onto one of Brian May's guitars and it was apparently going to be presented to one of the cast of the musical. I had great fun doing it and what a great client!

This month i have a 3 page article on how i got started in art/airbrushing in"Pinstriping & Kustom Graphics" magazine. It came out really great! I was expecting just a half page little thing so imagine my surprise when the issue hit my doorstep yesterday and i saw i had 3 pages all to myself lol

I am also going to be at a big custom bike show this April in Earls Court, London. Myself and some other airbrush artists will be on the Iwata stand showing people our airbrushing skills and chatting to anyone who wants a natter. Its the first show i have ever done so im quite nervous but also excited as hell!

Anyway, as time is money and for the time being i am my own boss im going to go shout at myself to get back to work hehe.

Well its been a month since my last journal entry so its about time i said something
Had loads of stuff going on this last month... Had to write off both mine and my wife's cars due to repair bills being more than the cars worth. THAT was fun... NOT! had to find another car quick, we found one but we now have to find the cash to get me another one before September when my son starts school and Mrs. Svee will need the car all day.

On the art front i hvae been working on the most detailed design i have ever tried to do. Its a dragon with a firey pit and castle in the background. The scales on the dragon have taken me 3 weeks to paint lol... and i still have the wings to do *faint*

The customer and i are currently coming up with ideas for the sides and back so its gonna be one hell of a guitar when its finished. Its by far my best work, and its not even finished yet

Im also going to start selling airbrushed pickguards on my site and starting a new gallery of guitar concept pics. Some designs i have come up with but havent had the chance to paint them yet. Should be sweeet

Ive also got a canvas piece to do for a local cancer charity. The artwork will be sold and the proffits will go to the charity which is good.

Right then, i had better get to work, no rest for the wicked and all that lol.

Hi guys and gals,
My god its been a bust couple of weeks at work. I havent had time to do anything but eat, sleep and work. IT SUCKS!!! lol.

I have just uploaded the finished pic of my Custom Paint Shop Paint Off entry, the voting on the site (www.custompaintshop.co.uk) ends Wed 18th April and so far i am joint second which is kewl

I am also about to start an awesome guitar, the customer wants a dragon scene with a castle, flaming pit, rope bridge, scary sky, the lot so its going to be a lot of fun to paint this one. You can keep an eye on its progress if you want on the webcam on my site  www.sveeart.co.uk/webcam.html

Right then, i have just woken up and i have flip flop mouth so its time for a nice cup o' tea...
